You may not need to hire someone with extensive programming knowledge, but knowing how to use the best software programs and applications is almost a prerequisite. Even though a developer may not be a designer, you still need them to build what you envision.
Creativity
No matter what field a person works in, creativity is everything. It is hard to keep track of all the different things a person creates. Whether it is art, music, writing, etc., a person with a creative mindset will work harder than anyone else. They will also work harder than anyone else because they know they are capable of achieving success.
Persistence
Everyone makes mistakes, but persistence helps prevent these mistakes from becoming costly ones. If you hire someone who is persistent, they will never give up until they achieve their goal. Many times, this means learning from past mistakes and repeating them over and over again until they get it right.
Growers and Developers
Growers need to hire people with knowledge about the cannabis industry, agriculture, business management, marketing, and law. These individuals will bring experience to the team, know how to communicate effectively with others, and possess a work ethic. Also, they should be able to understand the regulatory requirements associated with running a cannabis operation and comply with them at all times. In addition, these professionals should be willing to learn about cannabis cultivation practices and the various ways to improve yields. Finally, they should be able perform at least some tasks without supervision.
Technicians
Technicians play a critical role in any company’s success. There are many aspects of any cannabis business, including operations (grow room), logistics, quality control (lab testing), customer service, branding, packaging, etc. A technician should be able to troubleshoot issues and problems and perform basic maintenance tasks. This person should be willing to get their hands dirty and work with little supervision.
Salespeople
A salesperson’s job is to provide information to customers and educate them about products. In addition, they should be able sell both retail and wholesale products. They should be knowledgeable about the legal status of cannabis products and their distribution channels. Lastly, they must be willing to help consumers find what they want.

Lawyers play a key role in ensuring everyone complies with the laws and regulations governing cannabis businesses. From licensing applications to contracts, lawyers must ensure everything is done correctly. They should also be familiar with state-level regulations regarding medical marijuana and/or adult use and recreational cannabis legalization. Additionally, they should be prepared to answer questions about the legality of specific activities related to the cannabis industry or advice on potential pitfalls.

An accountant or bookkeeper handles financial records and ensures accuracy and compliance of banking transactions. Cannabis businesses tend to deal with cash transactions and therefore accountants and bookkeepers must be skilled in finance and accounting.
